Nereididae are a family of polychaete worms. It contains about 500 – mostly marine – species grouped into 42 genera. They may be commonly called Ragworms or Clam worms.
Much like other species of worm, eagworms do not have any form of respiratory system. They simply breathe through their skin. This is likely to be because of the lack of any of a significant amount of evolution over the time that life has been on earth.
